Riad de l'Orientale

A home from home in Marrakech

The Riad de l’Orientale is a small, family-owned riad, situated in the heart of the Medina in Marrakech. The riad, a two hundred and fifty year old Moroccan courtyard house, has been traditionally restored and has uniquely attractive rooms, all with en suite facilities.

Whether your stay is just overnight or for a week or longer, we hope you will feel that you have found a new home in Marrakech to which you will want to return.

Un Déjeuner à Marrakech

Opened in 2009, Un Déjeuner à Marrakech is a relaxed restaurant serves up what we've found to be the most tasty and reasonably priced food in the Medina.

What's good about it?

The French inspired menu is particularly good if you have got a bit tired of tagines and couscous!

The roof terrace is great on a spring or autumn day and if you are unfortunate enough to get caught in the rain, there is a good sized interior dining room where you can shelter.

Fresh fruit cocktails (non-alcoholic), warm goats cheese & duck breast salad, salmon & avocado sandwich

Where is it?

5 mins from the Jemma el Fna

  • Take Rue de Banques from the square between Le Marrakchi & Café de France
  • Follow the road as it joins Rue Kennaria and turns into Rue Riad Zitoun el Jdid
  • A small square will open up on your left hand side where Un Déjeuner à Marrakech is found
